Ceilings play a critical role in the interior environment of commercial and public buildings, influencing acoustic comfort, fire compartmentation, thermal efficiency and the overall aesthetic quality of a space. SFDC installs a complete range of suspended, acoustic and feature ceiling systems for offices, healthcare facilities, schools, hotels and retail developments across the UK. From standard exposed grid and tile installations to bespoke architectural feature ceilings, our teams deliver precision, quality and programme reliability on every project.
Modern commercial and public buildings demand high standards of acoustic separation and fire compartmentation, both of which can be achieved through correctly specified ceiling systems. SFDC installs acoustic ceiling systems achieving Noise Reduction Coefficients (NRC) up to 0.95 and fire-rated MF plasterboard ceiling systems providing EI30 to EI90 fire resistance. We coordinate closely with M&E engineers from reflected ceiling plans to ensure all lighting, HVAC, sprinklers and sensors are positioned before ceiling installation, eliminating costly re-works and keeping the fit-out programme on track.
WE ENSURE QUALITY
Our ceiling installation teams work methodically across large commercial floor plates, coordinating with M&E first fix trades to ensure all services are in place before ceiling installation. Quality inspections are carried out at each stage to ensure level, alignment and finish standards are achieved throughout.
All SFDC ceiling installations are carried out in accordance with BS EN 13964 for suspended ceilings and comply with Building Regulations Approved Documents B, E and L where applicable. Fire-rated ceiling systems are installed using tested, certified products from approved manufacturers.
